Persis Khambatta

Persis Khambatta is a seasoned professional in global government affairs and strategic advisory, currently serving as the Director of Global Government Affairs for Walmart in India and South Asia since November 2020. Prior to this role, Khambatta was the Managing Director and Senior Director at BowerGroupAsia, where responsibilities included managing client relationships and delivering tailored public affairs services across the Asia-Pacific region. Khambatta has also held academic positions as an Adjunct Fellow and Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, focusing on U.S.-India relations and economic trends in India. Earlier career experience includes working at The Asia Foundation, supporting program implementation related to South and Southeast Asian affairs. Khambatta holds a Master's degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from UC San Diego, complemented by studies at Meiji Gakuin University.
