Vernon Habersetzer

Vernon Habersetzer is an accomplished security technology expert with extensive experience in incident management and cyber threat analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Enterprise Tech Expert in Security Incident Management at Walmart since November 2016, Vernon collaborates across various security teams and leads the Hunt Team, focusing on developing custom detection methods to identify anomalies in large datasets. Previously, Vernon held the position of Information Security Engineer at Wells Fargo, where responsibilities included utilizing forensic tools to detect cyber threats, and served as the Sr. Technical Expert and Incident Response Team Lead at Walmart, leading incident response efforts and developing innovative security solutions. Vernon began a career in IT security at Save-A-Lot and Mercy Health System, where expertise in compliance, forensics, and security architecture was established. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science from Arkansas Tech University and an Associate of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science from Westark Community College.
