Vinod Bidarkoppa

Vinod Bidarkoppa has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and companies. Vinod currently holds the position of Senior Vice President / CTO (Omni Commerce and Emerging Technology) at Walmart U.S., where they are responsible for leading all aspects of technology strategy and execution for Walmart's digital commerce and store technology. Vinod is also involved in globalizing technology platforms across Walmart's global markets.

Prior to their role at Walmart, Vinod served as the Senior Vice President / CTO at Sam's Club, a subsidiary of Walmart. During their tenure, they played a key role in driving technological innovations and improving the overall performance of Sam's Club. Vinod was responsible for the strategic direction and management of all aspects of Sam's Club Technology across global locations.

Before joining Walmart, Vinod worked at UnitedHealth Group, where they held the positions of CIO and Senior Vice President at Optum Serve and CTO and Senior Vice President (Enterprise Platforms) at UnitedHealth Care. In these roles, they were responsible for advancing the digital transformation agenda and modernizing the core high-transaction business critical enterprise platforms.

Prior to their time at UnitedHealth Group, Vinod worked at Tesco as the CIO and Group Executive (Global Engineering and Technology Services). Vinod played a crucial role in executing the IT strategy to enable Tesco's omnichannel strategy and drove technology-enabled growth, customer loyalty, and business efficiency.

Earlier in their career, Vinod held various managerial roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and American Airlines/Sabre Holdings, where they focused on applications and business services.

Vinod Bidarkoppa obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, India. Vinod then pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science from Texas Tech University and later completed an MBA in General Management from Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business.
