Wendy Sun, Ph.D., is a seasoned data science executive with over 15 years of leadership experience in AI/ML and analytics. Currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Walmart, Wendy leads a diverse team, driving strategic initiatives in demand forecasting and customer experience enhancement. Prior to this, Wendy held various leadership roles, including Global Director of Data Science at VF Corporation and Senior Data Scientist at John Deere, contributing to significant business transformations through advanced analytics. Wendy also mentored graduate students at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has published extensively, solidifying a robust presence in the research community. Holding a Ph.D. in Statistics and Psychometric Methods from the University of Kentucky, Wendy combines technical expertise with a passion for mentorship and innovation.
