Director, Diversity & Inclusion at Walnut Hill School for the Arts

Linda Hughes has been working in the field of diversity and inclusion for over 15 years. Linda began their career as the Director of Community & Diversity at The Chestnut Hill School, where they created and implemented programs that promoted inclusivity and respect for all students. In 2001, they founded The Chestnut Hill School for Music, where they served as Artistic Director for 13 years. During their time at The Chestnut Hill School for Music, Linda developed a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, which led their to their current position as Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Walnut Hill School for the Arts. In this role, Linda is responsible for creating and implementing programs that foster a diverse and inclusive community for all students, staff, and faculty.

They work with Nadine Abigana - Director of College Counseling, Jennifer Tumsuden - Director of Community Programs, Bishop Dorm Head, and Cedric Lyles - Director of Artistic Studies. Linda Hughes reports to Antonio Viva, Head of School.
