Eyal Erez has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Eyal currently holds the position of VP R&D at Walnut, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, Eyal served as the Engineering Group Manager at Waze from an unspecified time in 2020 until 2022. In this role, they led the Waze Infrastructure Group, restructuring smaller teams into a unified organization and implementing Agile principles to enhance efficiency.

Eyal's earlier experiences include being an Engineering Manager at Amplify from 2008 to 2012, leading the Core Assessment product line, and working as an Engineering Manager at Rovi Corporation (now TiVo) from 2006 to 2008. At Rovi, they led a development team and was involved in the creation, deployment, and upgrades of the eRights Suite 4.x product.

Their career started with a role as a Senior Software Engineer at eSpoc, Inc. from 1999 to 2002, where they headed the AIS-Connect project, an automated trade delivery and integration system. Eyal also worked as a Software Engineer at Tadiran Systems from 1998 to 1999 and served in the Israel Defense Forces as a Sergeant First Class from 1994 to 1997.

Eyal Erez began their education at Ironi Alef from 1988 to 1994, where they did not obtain a degree or specialize in any field of study. Eyal then attended Brookdale Community College from 2001 to 2002, where they pursued a B.A. in Computer Science. Finally, Eyal Erez transferred to Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2002 and completed their B.A. in Computer Information Systems in 2003.
