Jason Smith is the Director of Executive Administration, Classical Music, & Special Initiatives at Walton Arts Center. Jason has been with the company since May 2009, and in their current role, they are responsible for administration for the Office of the President & CEO including calendar, correspondence, communication and travel, and day to day office functions. Jason also coordinates WAC Council and WAC Foundation Boards of Directors and oversees the team that plans, executes, and documents all WAC boards and standing, select, and joint committee meetings. In addition, they create official WAC correspondence, reports, presentations and newsletters and provides quality control for message, grammar, content, layout and brand. Jason also manages President's special ticketing holds and Walmart AMP box inventory including seating, ticketing, parking, and distribution for over 400 performances and events across all venues annually. Jason is skilled in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite, WAC shared file network & document storage, Google Docs, Dropbox, DocuSign, Zoom, Slack, Tessitura, Paycom and Venue Ops programs and online management systems. Jason has built strong relationships with current and past board members, key stakeholders, funders, regional business leaders, and local, state, and national government officials. Jason is also active in national, regional, and local arts presenter associations and business support organizations. Jason represents the Office of the President on Walton Arts Center’s Staff Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee.
Jason Smith is a lyric tenor who has studied opera theatre and musical theater. Jason has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Oberlin College, and is currently enrolled at the University of Arkansas, working towards a degree in vocal performance.
