Lance Young

Lance Young, Ed.D., serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Walton County School District since July 2016 and has held adjunct professor positions at the University of West Georgia and Piedmont University, among others, focusing on education and HR-related disciplines. With extensive experience in human resources, Lance previously held the role of Executive Director of HR at Fulton County Schools, managing various aspects of HR operations, and began a career in HR as a Generalist at Atlanta Public Schools. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from The University of Georgia, a Master of Human Resources Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, and a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with a focus on HR Development from Nova Southeastern University.
