Leslie VanSant has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Leslie is currently serving as the Chief Advancement Officer at WAMU 88.5, responsible for raising awareness and support for the radio station. Prior to this, Leslie worked as the President of Northern Line Consulting, where they assisted non-profits and humanitarian agencies in increasing productivity through strategy development and communication planning. Leslie also served as the Vice President of Philanthropy at Rainforest Trust and successfully built a fundraising team to meet a $50 million goal ahead of schedule. Additionally, Leslie has experience as a Partner at Global Emergency Group, President of Great Meadow Foundation, and Officer of International Communication at the American Red Cross. Through these roles, they have demonstrated strengths in crisis communication, fundraising, strategic planning, and team leadership.

Leslie VanSant attended Conestoga Senior High School for an unspecified period of time. Leslie then pursued their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at the University of Richmond from 1988 to 1992. In 1990, Leslie also attended Drake University in Florence, Italy, but the duration of their study there is unknown.
