Rick Nariani has over 12 years of professional experience in the corporate strategy, regulatory, and consulting fields. Rick began their career in 2008 as a Regulatory Specialist at Shell, followed by a Regulatory Analyst role at Suncor Energy. In 2011, they took on the role of Senior Regulatory Advisor at Murphy Oil, where they managed regulatory activities and work planning initiatives. In 2012, they moved to Lux Research as a Management Consultant, focusing on energy and industrials. From 2013-2016, they held the role of Sr. Manager, Corporate Strategy at Xylem Inc. During this time, they also served as a Strategy & Culture Consultant for Adidas and other companies from 2014-2020. In 2016, they joined IBM as a Corporate Development Executive and Corporate Strategy Senior Associate, where they drove new growth opportunities and identified and framed strategic issues. Most recently, in 2020, they became Co-Founder & President of WANTD (YC W22).

Rick Nariani attended The University of Lethbridge from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelors degree in Commerce (Finance, Marketing). Rick then went on to the University of Calgary from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA). Rick also attended Y Combinator, but the duration of their attendance is unknown.
