Dimosthenis Karagiannis

Dimosthenis Karagiannis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of IT, specifically in the areas of DevOps, system administration, and application support.

Starting from 2001, Karagiannis worked at the Computer Lab in the School of Physics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, providing user and application support, as well as serving as a system administrator. This role continued until 2009.

From 2004 to 2009, Karagiannis also worked at the Scientific Computer Center at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, serving as a system administrator, certificate authorities operator, and providing user and application support.

In 2006, Karagiannis briefly worked at the Research Committee of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, providing second level support and system administration.

From 2009 to 2016, Karagiannis worked at Insurance Office Karagianni, where they held roles in system administration, development, and as an insurance intermediary.

Starting in 2011, Karagiannis began working as a freelancer on various projects through the Upwork(formely oDesk) marketplace, primarily as a system administrator.

From 2016 to 2017, Karagiannis worked as a Linux System Administrator at tripsta.

From 2017 to 2019, Karagiannis served as a system administrator and DevOps engineer at Tora Wallet S.A.

In 2019, Karagiannis joined Excite Holidays as a DevOps Engineer, a role that lasted until early 2020.

From 2020 to 2021, Karagiannis worked as a DevOps Engineer at Xrysi Eukairia.

Most recently, in 2021, Karagiannis joined wappier as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they are currently employed.

Dimosthenis Karagiannis completed their Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Electronics, and Telecommunication from the School of Physics, Faculty of Sciences at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2014. In addition to their formal education, they received certifications in the following:

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in March 2023.

- Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator from The Linux Foundation in November 2018.

- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (003) from HashiCorp in April 2023.
