Mikhail Kazakov

Mikhail Kazakov is a Research Associate at Ward Howell. Mikhail previously worked as the Head of Execution department at Prime Legal from July 2013 to May 2019. At Prime Legal, Mikhail was responsible for corporate law, arbitration and civil procedure, reducing the cadastral value of real estate, enforcement proceedings and bankruptcy, tax law, transactions with real estate, and project management.

Mikhail has extensive experience in corporate law, negotiation, and consulting on legal aspects of organizations. Mikhail has also worked on legal support of transactions between legal entities, legal entities and individuals (including real estate transactions and commercial real estate). Furthermore, they have experience in preparing legal opinions on civil and tax legislation as well as interacting with foreign counterparties.

In addition, Mikhail has experience in claim work and pre-trial settlement of disputes. Mikhail is also experienced in preparing a package of documents for submission to the Arbitration Court and Courts of General Jurisdiction. Furthermore, they have worked on lawsuits in the Courts of General Jurisdiction and Arbitration Courts. Mikhail has also represented clients in court hearings of all instances.

Another area of Mikhail's expertise is accompaniment of the procedure for reducing the cadastral value of real estate. Mikhail has experience in preparing an application to the Rosreestr Commission as well as interacting with Evaluators and expert institutions. Additionally, they have worked on challenging the decisions of Rosreestr in the Moscow City Court at the first and appellate instance. Mikhail has also worked on preparing Administrative Statement of Claim and collecting documents for submitting applications to the courts for challenging the Decision of the Rosreestra Commission. Furthermore, they have participated in court hearings and made amendments to the SCI / EGRN.

Mikhail has also worked extensively in enforcement proceedings and bankruptcy. Mikhail is experienced in conducting enforcement proceedings as well as interacting with the FSSP and banks on the execution of the court decision. In addition, they have worked on tax consulting and escort procedures for reorganization and liquidation. Mikhail has also made amendments to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

Finally, Mikhail has experience in registration of transactions with real estate as well as interacting with BTI / RTI . Mikhail is also experienced in accompanying the procedure for cadastral registration of the real estate. Additionally, they have worked on negotiating with tenants. Another area of Mikhail's expertise is project management where they are responsible for supporting projects and maintaining contracts with customers.

Mikhail Kazakov has a Specialist degree in Economy, Taxes and Taxation from Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation. Mikhail also has a Master of Laws degree in Corporate law from the same school.
