Ashok Chandrashekar

Ashok Chandrashekar is a seasoned leader in machine learning and data science, currently serving as the VP of Machine Learning at Warner Bros. Discovery since May 2021. In this role, Ashok spearheads the development of key machine learning initiatives focusing on consumer-facing products, including recommender systems, experimentation science, and revenue growth strategies. Prior to this, Ashok held various leadership positions at Warner Bros. Discovery, leading the Product Science and Analytics group and developing machine learning solutions for HBO Max. Ashok's extensive experience includes a tenure at Netflix as Manager of Product Machine Learning Research, where Ashok focused on prototyping algorithms for recommender systems, and earlier roles at Microsoft Research and Huawei. Ashok earned a PhD in Computer Science from Dartmouth College and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from RV College of Engineering.
