Emily Traynor

Emily Traynor is a software engineer at Warner Music Group, having joined in January 2024. Her prior experience includes serving as a thesis researcher at the University of Toronto, where Emily developed decentralized content moderation technology for social media platforms under the supervision of Professor Ishtiaque Ahmed. Emily co-founded the Trustworthy Machine Intelligence Team at the University of Toronto, where Emily led internal operations and guided project leaders. Additionally, Emily has worked as an NLP researcher at Thomson Reuters, software developer engineer at Amazon, and web developer for an e-commerce business. Other roles include financial director for the Society of Women Engineers Toronto and technology consultant at EY. Emily holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science with a focus on Machine Intelligence from the University of Toronto, and completed an IB Diploma at Overseas Family School, with a strong emphasis on higher-level math and sciences.
