Cara Mudgett

Cara Mudgett has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years. Cara began their career in 2000 as the Director of Individual Underwriting and Operations Director of Small Group Services at WellPoint Health Networks. In 2007, they became the Director of Medical Management at Health Net California. In 2006, they joined Anthem, Inc. as the Director II, Member Experience. In this role, they oversaw all California individual, small group and ACA call center operations, supported more than 1.7 million members, and managed a multimillion-dollar budget. Cara championed and sponsored a multiyear member Payment Innovation project for Enterprise Individual/ACA business that increased member retention and satisfaction and reduced inbound payment-related calls by 25%. Additionally, they planned and executed Health Insurance Exchange call centers in 14 states, serving over 1 million ACA members. In 2018, they joined Warner Pacific Insurance Services as the Senior Director of Operations.

Cara Mudgett has an extensive education history. Cara began their studies at Los Angeles Pierce College in 2004, where they earned an AA in Business. Cara then attended Pierce College from 2009 to 2011, earning a BS in Business Management. Cara continued their studies at California Lutheran University, where they earned a degree in Business Management with a focus on Business Administration, Management and Operations. Most recently, Cara obtained a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management from Western Governors University in 2019. Additionally, Cara has obtained two certifications: an Accident and Health Agent from the California Department of Insurance in 2022, and an Organizing Your Remote Office for Maximum Productivity certification from LinkedIn in 2021.
