Richard Artoul is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership. Richard co-founded WarpStream in June 2023 and previously served as a Staff Software Engineer at Datadog from January 2020 to April 2023. Prior to that, Richard held the position of Senior Software Engineer and M3DB Tech Lead at Uber from October 2015 to January 2020, where leadership was provided for the M3DB open-source distributed time series database project. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology from UC Santa Barbara, completed in 2014, and furthered education at MakerSquare in 2015, specializing in software engineering.
