Carmel joined Warren and Mahoney in 2021 and brings with her a passion for improving our built environment. This has led to an exploration of how architecture can work to maximise healthy outcomes for people. She approaches each project with care, compassion and endeavours to bring joy to the built environment.
Carmel has a strong background in educational facilities. Following leading educational pedagogical research to ensure they are considered as part of a modern schooling environment, while responding to each individual learning institution. She focuses on delivering learner centered spaces, inspiring buildings that form a strong foundation to teaching and learning for the next generation of leaders, innovators and creators.
As an experienced New Zealand architect, Carmel is passionate about architecture as a lively conversation between the land - context, and the people - culture and community. Having worked across New Zealand, she takes each project as an opportunity to deliver user focused design solutions to excite and improve the experience of the people who use and interact with the buildings.
