James Trottier has over 30 years of law enforcement experience, currently serving as a School Resource Officer at Warren County Sheriff's Office since January 2020 and as a Deputy at Washington County Sheriff's Office since September 2008. Trottier possesses instructor status in various law enforcement topics, including weapons and defensive tactics, and is certified in DWI patrol and Doppler traffic radar operation. Previous roles include Subject Matter Expert for the National Center for Security & Preparedness and a Criminal Investigator with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, where extensive investigative experience in counter-terrorism was gained. Trottier holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Adirondack Community College.
