Felecia Boone

Felecia Boone is a Board Member at Wartburg College. Boone began their career in 1993 as a Financial Worker at Hennepin County. In 1998, they transitioned to the role of Consumer Liaison at the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General. In this role, they negotiated consumer billing issues with regulated and unregulated utilities, tracked and trended consumer complaints for possible legal action, and collaborated with the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and the Minnesota Department of Commerce to educate consumers about utility billing and alternative options for service.

In 2003, Boone joined CenterPoint Energy as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, they sold services (maintenance plans, appliance repair) to interested customers, established payment plans for customers to maintain or regain utility service, and solved complex billing issues related to business or multi-unit accounts.

In 2013, Boone returned to Hennepin County as a Senior Learning and Development Consultant. In this role, they provided consulting services to county departments on learning and development initiatives.

Felecia Boone has completed a Master of Arts in Leadership from Wartburg College, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Wartburg College, and a Professional Train-The-Trainer Certificate from the University of Minnesota College of Continuing & Professional Studies. Felecia Boone is also certified as an IDI Qualified Administrator from IDI, LLC, a True Colors Personal Success certified professional from True Colors International, and a 7 Habits Manager and Leading at the Speed of Trust certified professional from FranklinCovey. Additionally, Felecia Boone has completed the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Signature Program and the 7 Habits Maximizer from FranklinCovey, the Facing Race New Conversations series from The Saint Paul Foundation, and is currently enrolled in the PhD program in Organizational Leadership at Capella University.
