Niels Thijssen

Niels Thijssen has extensive experience in supply management and procurement, currently serving as the Director of Supply Management for Parts & Field Service at Wärtsilä since April 2008. In this role, Niels leads the Supply Management organization, ensuring the provision of high-quality spare parts globally. Niels also holds positions as Chairman of Corporate Supply Management, Director of Category Management, and Director of Supplier Development, among others, overseeing various teams and strategic purchasing efforts. Prior to Wärtsilä, Niels held logistics and procurement roles at Connect Group N.V. and Frencken Mechatronics. Niels holds a Nevi II Purchasing Academy degree and a Bachelor of Engineering in Logistics from Breda University of Applied Sciences.
