Sami Virtanen

Sami Virtanen is an experienced marketing professional currently serving as Digital Marketing Manager at Wärtsilä since April 2016, with a progression of roles in communications and branding within the company. Prior to Wärtsilä, Sami worked at Niemi Palvelut Oy from February 2011 to July 2015, undertaking various assignments, including supervisory roles with teams of up to 20 workers. Sami served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Finnish Defence Forces from January 2010 to January 2011. Academically, Sami holds a Master of Science in Marketing from the University of Vaasa, as well as two Bachelor degrees in Business Administration, one from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and another from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
