Serdar Ayhan

Serdar Ayhan is a seasoned professional in the maritime and engineering sectors, currently serving as the Director of Global Field Service Operations at Wärtsilä since March 2014. With a comprehensive background that includes roles such as General Manager for Field Service Resources in the UAE, Singapore, and Malaysia, and extensive experience in managing field service activities, Serdar leads a team of over 100 technicians and engineers. Previous positions include Senior Superintendent Engineer at Smit Lamnalco, where responsibilities encompassed the preparation and execution of special surveys and major machinery overhauls, and various engineering roles at Wärtsilä, including managing commissioning projects for new builds. Serdar's career began in marine engineering and sales, with foundational positions in the Turkish Navy and several maritime companies, complemented by an engineering degree from Istanbul Technical University.
