Waqar Anwar

Waqar Anwar is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the accounting and management sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of Record to Report for Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia at Wärtsilä since October 2014, Waqar has held various leadership roles within the company, including Team Lead and Controller in the Business Control Centre. Prior to joining Wärtsilä, significant contributions were made at Wärtsilä Pakistan Pvt Ltd. as a Coordinator in Accounts and as a Senior Accountant, as well as at Bashir Pipe Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. in accounts and sales coordination. Waqar commenced the professional journey as a Cash Officer at Rahim Departmental Store. Educational qualifications include a CMA in Accounting and Business/Management from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, an MBA in Finance from the Virtual University of Pakistan, and a B.Com in Accounting from Hailey College of Commerce.
