Matthew Rhodes

Matthew is an experienced business leader in the energy and manufacturing sectors, with particular strengths in innovation and economic opportunities arising from the transition to net zero. As well as founding and leading a start-up engineering company in Leamington until 2017, Matthew has held a variety of non-executive director roles for over 20 years. He’s worked extensively with the public and the higher education sectors as a board member of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP; through many collaborative projects; and in negotiating with government on behalf of the West Midlands and Mayor. Matthew also chairs an arts charity in Birmingham. He’s married with two grown up children, and enjoys playing the clarinet and training for triathlons in his spare time.
