Emmanuel Wendsongre Ramde

Emmanuel Wendsongre Ramde currently serves as the Executive Director of the West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) since March 2024, providing leadership and strategic management for comprehensive climate change solutions. Previously, Emmanuel held the position of Team Leader and Senior Expert in Energy Policy at NTU International A/S, focusing on energy governance support to ECOWAS, where major achievements included the adoption of regional energy policies and the establishment of a regional energy database. Emmanuel's extensive academic career includes roles as Fellow, Professor, and Director at The Brew-Hammond Energy Centre and as Associate Professor at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, spanning from 2005 to 2022. Additionally, Emmanuel led a team in developing a comprehensive renewable energy atlas for Benin and served as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies in 2014.
