Andrew Thompson

Head Peer Consultant, Writing Center at Washington and Lee University

Andrew Thompson is a highly motivated undergraduate at Washington and Lee University, pursuing a BA in Economics and History. Currently serving as Head Peer Consultant in the Writing Center, Andrew leads fellow tutors to enhance students' writing. Previous roles include peer consultant and peer tutor in the Economics Department, with a focus on Intermediate Microeconomic Theory. Andrew's involvement extends to the Williams Investment Society as a Consumer Discretionary Analyst and as Editor in Chief of The W&L Spectator, where management of a prominent newspaper led to significant increase in website traffic. Additionally, Andrew writes as a Student Reporter for The College Fix and contributes as a Policy Analyst for the Washington and Lee Mock Convention. A Summer Research Scholar in the Economics Department, Andrew studied federal education policy, and has been recognized as a Richmond Forum Scholar. An incoming Economic Summer Analyst at Wells Fargo for Summer 2024, Andrew demonstrates a strong commitment to academic and extracurricular excellence.
