Brian Alexander

Brian Alexander is an Associate Professor of Politics at Washington and Lee University, where responsibilities include directing the W&L Washington Term and previously serving as an Assistant Professor. Alexander has authored forthcoming books focused on legislative norms and parliamentary practice. Prior experience encompasses a role as a Congressional Fellow in U.S. Senator Jack Reed's office, where significant contributions included leading efforts on the bipartisan "High Hazard Potential Small Dam Safety Act." Additionally, Alexander has held instructional positions at George Mason University, provided consultancy through various organizations including IBM and Booz Allen Hamilton, and has engaged in public affairs research and advocacy. Alexander's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Political Science from George Mason University and advanced degrees from the University of Cincinnati and Miami University.
