Hunter Swanson

Hunter Swanson is an experienced professional in international education, currently serving as the Associate Director of the Center for International Education at Washington and Lee University since May 2017. Prior experience includes the role of Assistant Director of International Student and Scholar Services at James Madison University from August 2012 to May 2017 and International Student Services Advisor at Longwood University from January 2009 to August 2012. Hunter Swanson holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Strategic Leadership Studies with a focus on Postsecondary Analysis and Leadership from James Madison University, where a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Assessment Specialist was also obtained. Additional academic credentials include a Master of Science (M.S.) in Education, Community and College Counseling, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History, both earned from Longwood University.
