Lena Hill

Lena Hill serves as the Provost and Dean of the College at Washington and Lee University since July 2018. Previously, Lena held significant roles at the University of Iowa, including Senior Associate to the President and Associate Professor of English and African American Studies from July 2006 to May 2018. In addition, Lena contributed to the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce and the Iowa City Community School District Foundation as a member of the Board of Directors from July 2016 to May 2018 and July 2014 to May 2018, respectively. Lena holds a Doctor of Philosophy in English Language and Literature from Yale University and a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature with a Biology Minor from Howard University.
