Mary Main

Mary Main is an experienced human resources professional with a comprehensive background in strategic management across multiple institutions. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Human Resources at Washington and Lee University since July 2016, Main oversees employment, benefits, compensation, workforce development, policy development, and employee relations. Prior to this role, Main held the position of Assistant Vice President of Human Resources at Bates College, managing similar responsibilities from July 2007 to June 2016. Main's extensive HR career began as Director of Human Resources at People's Regional Opportunity Program and includes experience as Human Resources Manager at Maine Medical Center, where management of employment and employee relations was crucial in a large acute care setting.
