Leah Royer

VP, Database Marketing at Washington Capitals

Leah Royer began their career in 2013 with the Kansas City Chiefs as the Fan Insight and Data Analytics Manager. In this role, they were responsible for the management of the data operations for the club as it relates to data collection, usage and strategy. This included overseeing the email marketing/database communication calendar, deployment and analytics. Leah also led the implementation, maintenance, upgrades and usage strategy of the company's data warehouse, BI Tool, database email marketing solution, CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), surveyor, and rewards platform.

In 2016, Leah was promoted to Vice President of Database Marketing for the Washington Capitals. In this role, they are responsible for developing analytical strategy for determining campaign effectiveness including creating test plans and identification of KPIs based on marketing objectives and formation of detailed analysis plans. Leah also oversees the strategy for data analytics and usage for business operations of organization including: rewards program, fan experience, sales and acquisition, per cap spend in stadium, and develop analytical strategies and efficiencies through the creating of standardized reports.

Leah Royer received their Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications with a specialization in Economics from The Ohio State University.

They are on a team with Nick Daly - Senior Director, Suite Services, Haley Leonard - Director of Partnership Marketing, and Scott Allen - Assistant Coach. Their manager is Ted Leonsis, CEO.
