Derrick Moon Cbo

Derrick Moon currently serves as Building Official for Washington County, a position held since May 2016, with previous roles including Building Supervisor and Senior Plans Examiner. Responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating construction plans for compliance with various state and local building codes, as well as assessing commercial building construction documents. Prior to this, Derrick held positions as AS II & Home Repair Coordinator and Plans Examiner/Inspector at Washington County from July 2007 to May 2012. Derrick’s career began as an Electrician with NECA/IBEW Local 48 from September 1990 to May 2005. Derrick holds an Associate of Science degree in Building Inspection Technology from Portland Community College, having also attended Oregon State University.
