WASHINGTON DRAMA SOCIETY INC
Fatima Dyfan is a seasoned playwright currently developing new works at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, collaborating with a team that includes notable dramaturg Jocelyn Clarke and fellow students. Between July 2020 and May 2021, Fatima served as an Administrative Assistant at Georgetown University, efficiently managing resources and maintaining organized performance and office spaces during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, as a Seminar Course Assistant, Fatima designed lesson plans for a first-year seminar on Black political theories under the guidance of Dr. Marcus Board. With prior experience as a Summer College Immersion Academic Assistant, Fatima managed an enriching program for low-income, first-generation students and supervised academic staff. As a Resident Assistant, support was provided to first-year students, promoting a safe community, while also contributing research to Dr. Soyica Colbert's biography of Lorraine Hansberry. Fatima holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and African-American Studies, with a minor in Theater and Performance Studies from Georgetown University.
