Mehdi Elkassem is an experienced education professional with over two decades of practice, currently serving at Washington Episcopal School since June 2001 as a STEM and Science Teacher, as well as a Curriculum Developer for early childhood, elementary, and middle school levels. Concurrently, Mehdi Elkassem holds the position of Head Coach for Boys Soccer, grades 5-8, and leads an annual Geology Study Trip to the Grand Canyon. Previously, Mehdi Elkassem taught middle school science and coached varsity soccer at Newport School in Kensington, MD from September 2000 to June 2001. Mehdi Elkassem earned a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of St. Petersburg, Russia, between 1994 and 2000.
