Monica Shelly is an experienced music educator with a strong background in teaching early childhood and lower school music. Currently serving as an Early Childhood Music Teacher at Washington Episcopal School since August 2022, Monica has previously held positions including Lower School Music Teacher at Georgetown Day School, where teaching encompassed Kindergarten through 4th grades. Early career roles include music teaching at Levine Music and Two Rivers Public Charter School, instructing students from PreK3 to 2nd grades. Monica's experience also extends to Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where music instruction spanned Kindergarten to 5th grades, and band and choir for students in grades 6-9. Additionally, Monica served as Fine Arts Director at Bayshore Christian School and developed a music program for middle school students at St. John Greek Orthodox Day School. Monica holds a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Tampa.
