Wendy Zelond

In this role, Ms. Zelond is responsible for providing overall financial leadership that maximizes long-term value for all our stakeholders: customers, employees, communities and shareholders. She is a key member of the senior leadership team in managing the transformation of the overall business and has executive management responsibility and accountability for the financial integrity of WGL.

She is responsible for leading and managing the strategic and day-to-day operational financial initiatives of the Utilities business.

Ms. Zelond brings more than 20 years of diverse experience in the regulated and unregulated energy, aviation and public accounting sectors. Most recently, she was the North America CFO of Energy Developments Limited. Her prior energy sector roles included Vice President Finance, Enbridge, where she led the Utilities and Power Operations Finance organization; and Spectra Energy. There, she held increasingly more senior roles, including Vice President, Finance and CFO of Union Gas.

Early in her career, Ms. Zelond held audit roles with both PwC and Arthur Anderson.

Ms. Zelond received her Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas and her Bachelor of Business Administration from Oklahoma Christian University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
