Mediha Sorma

Mediha Sorma is a Grant Writer at the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) since May 2023, bringing a wealth of academic and practical experience to the role. Previously, Mediha served as a Graduate Research Assistant, PhD Candidate, and Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington from March 2015 to March 2024. Additionally, Mediha worked as a Freelance Translator from June 2007 to August 2020 and held a position as a Translator at akademi çeviri from August 2007 to June 2008. Mediha holds a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies/Critical Theory and Analysis and a Bachelor's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from Boğaziçi University, where studies occurred between 2003 and 2014, following a high school diploma in English Language and Literature from Icel Anatolian High School.
