Jayme Johnson

Jayme Johnson serves as the Senior Vice President and Assistant Chief Safety Officer at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) since January 2017, overseeing the safety operations for 12,000 employees and the agency’s Safety Management System strategy. Previous roles at WMATA include Vice President and Director positions focused on safety improvement, operational transformation, and strategic initiatives. Additionally, Jayme has experience as an Adjunct Professor at American University, a Management Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, and worked as an Inspector with the Metropolitan Police in London. Jayme holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, a Master of Science from the University of Warwick Business School, and has further distinguished educational credentials, including a Fulbright Scholarship at George Mason University and a BA from the University of Oxford.
