Robert Haas

Robert Haas has a diverse work experience in treasury operations and financial management. Robert started their career in 1995 as a Manager of Treasury Operations at Atlantic Coast Airlines. Robert then moved on to become a Treasury Operations Manager at Motient Corporation from 2000 to 2002. After that, they worked as a Manager of Treasury Operations at World Kitchen from 2002 to 2007.

In 2007, they joined the National Railroad Passenger Corporation as a Cash Operations Manager, where they were responsible for cash forecasting, managing banking relationships, and producing cash reports.

Since 2017, Robert Haas has been working at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). Robert initially joined as the Director of Treasury Operations and is currently serving as the Vice President and Treasurer.

Robert Haas has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Economics from Virginia Tech. Robert also holds a BS degree in Finance/Economics from the Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the Certified Treasury Professional certification from the Association for Financial Professionals in 2005. Robert is also a CPA, certified by the VBOA - Virginia Board of Accountancy.
