Rod Allsopp is an experienced security and IT professional with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Security Program Lead at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority since May 2013, Rod has held several key positions, including Deputy Chief IT Infrastructure & Operations and Chief of Datacenters & Infrastructure. Prior to WMATA, Rod worked as a Consultant in Cybersecurity Governance & Security Operations at Patriot Consulting and held significant roles in the DC Government as CISO and IT Systems Manager. Rod's earlier career includes positions at The Teaching Company, Interplex LLC, Access Insurance Holdings, Cable & Wireless Communications, Bell Canada, and St. Clair Interactive. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Internetworking from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor's in Computer Science/Mathematics from Carleton University.
