Royland D. Fraser, MSA, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Royland D. currently holds the position of Director - Facility Services and Rehabilitation Office of Facilities Maintenance at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). Prior to this, they served as Assistant Director, Office of Plant Maintenance at WMATA.

Before joining WMATA, Fraser worked at MTA Maryland, where they held various roles including Deputy Chief of MOW, Light Rail & Metro SubwayLink, Deputy Director of Metro Operations, and Assistant Superintendent.

Fraser also has experience as the Chief Executive Officer of TAFSONS Enterprise Limited from 2013 to 2017.

Prior to their career in the transit industry, Fraser served in the Guyana Defence Force as a Lieutenant, where they led a platoon of Combat Engineers and received specialized training at the College of Military Engineering in India.

Royland D. Fraser, MSA, PMP has a diverse education history. As of 2010-2011, they obtained a Master of Science in Public Administration from Central Michigan University, as well as a Master's Certificate in Program Management from The George Washington University. In 2008-2009, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Transportation Policy, Operations, and Logistics from George Mason University. Additionally, in 2006-2007, they earned a Master's Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business. Earlier in their academic journey, from 1998 to 2000, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Bowie State University. Beyond their formal education, Royland also pursued their interests in combat engineering at the College of Military Engineering in Pune, India in 1985, and obtained a Technician Certificate in Mechanical Engineering from the City & Guilds of London Institute between 1977 and 1981.
