Design Coordinator Team Lead -silver Line Project- Phase 2 at Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority

Sairan Aqrawi, M.Sc. has a range of work experience in project management and engineering. From 2012 to the present, they have been working at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) where they serve as the Design Coordinator Team Lead for the Silver Line Project - Phase 2. In this role, they oversee administrative functions, conducts audits and evaluations of design and construction submittals, and provides technical expertise for system integration plans. Prior to this, from 2012 to 2013, they worked on the Red Line Rehabilitation Project and the COMM & Network Systems at WMATA. From 2008 to 2012, they were a Project Engineer for L3 Technologies, specifically working on the Critical Infrastructure and Border Security - SBInet Project.

Sairan Aqrawi, M.Sc. holds a Master's degree in Engineering & Technology Management from The George Washington University - School of Engineering & Applied Science. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Mosul. Sairan has also obtained additional certifications, including Entrepreneurship Essentials from Harvard Business School Online in 2023, Executive Communications from The George Washington University in 2022, Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coaching Federation in 2020, and OSHA 10 HR CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY from Aerosol Monitoring & Analysis, Inc. in 2017.
