Daniel Kurish

Daniel Kurish has a wide range of work experience in the field of communications, particularly in the sports industry. Daniel started their career as a Production Intern at SportsNet New York in 2013 before moving on to roles such as Broadcast Assistant at Lynchburg Hillcats in 2015 and Technical Director at iHeartMedia in 2016.

In 2014, Kurish worked as a Radio Broadcaster and Operations Manager for WOYK Radio, where they covered York Revolution baseball games and York College basketball games. Daniel also co-hosted regional shows and produced radio features and promos.

Kurish then served as an Athletic Communications Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania in 2015, where they were responsible for sports information and press needs for various sports teams. Daniel wrote press releases, previews, recaps, and features for Penn Athletics.

From 2015 to 2018, Kurish worked as the Director of Media Relations and Radio Broadcaster for the Aberdeen IronBirds. Their responsibilities included serving as the play-by-play announcer for all IronBirds baseball games, as well as being the club's contact for media requests about players and coaches.

In 2018, Kurish joined the Arizona Hotshots Football Team - Alliance of American Football as the Director of Communications. Daniel acted as the team's contact for all media requests, pitching stories to local and national media, and producing game notes and press releases.

Kurish then worked for Major League Baseball from 2016 to 2019, serving as the Arizona Fall League Media Communications Coordinator. In this role, they were responsible for researching and writing pregame notes for the entire league, drafting and editing press releases, and preparing credentials for scouts and media.

Most recently, Kurish was the Coordinator of Media Relations for the Miami Marlins from 2020 to 2022. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating media requests and producing content for the team.

Currently, Kurish is working as the Manager of Baseball Communications for the Washington Nationals, starting in 2022.

Daniel Kurish attended La Salle University from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies.
