John Sharland

John Sharland has extensive work experience in the banking industry. John currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Washington Savings Bank since 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Newburyport Bank as the Director of Accounting from January 2022 to May 2022, and as the Manager of Loan Servicing from September 2021 to December 2021. John also has experience as an Independent Consultant, working as a Bank Consultant from June 2020 to August 2020. Earlier in their career, they held the position of CFO at Athol Saving Bank from March 2008 to June 2020. John also served as CFO at River Bank and Lawrence Savings Bank from 1992 to 2006.

John Sharland attended the University of Miami from 1980 to 1982. During this time, they did not complete a degree and their field of study is unknown. Later, they attended Bryant University from 1982 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting.
