Grace Young

Grace Young is an accomplished data and GIS specialist with a focus on active transportation, currently serving as an Active Transportation GIS and Data Specialist at the Washington State Department of Transportation since July 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Civic Data Analyst II and Civic Data Analyst at Alta Planning + Design from July 2021 to July 2024, as well as a Data and Planning Intern at the Puget Sound Regional Council, where Grace contributed to regional planning efforts through data analysis and mapping. Additional experience includes internships at Stone Edge Farm MicroGrid and a student leadership position at Segal Design Institute, along with research at John Rogers Lab. Grace Young holds a Master’s degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science from Northwestern University.
