Joseph P. Gencarella

Mr. Gencarella served as Audit Partner with public accounting firm KPMG LLP before his retirement in 2021. He joined KPMG in 1985 and served in various positions of progressive responsibility throughout the years. He has extensive experience with public and non-public company audits, including banking and insurance companies; SEC and regulatory reporting; and internal controls and risk management. He served as a trustee for the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council from 2012 to 2020 and was a member of Providence College President’s Council from 2013 to 2020. Mr. Gencarella’s qualifications to serve on the Board of Directors include his extensive experience in the areas of audit, accounting and financial reporting. Director since 2022.
