Dr. Christopher Barrie

Dr. Christopher Barrie currently serves as the School Principal at Washingtonville Central School District, a position held since August 2021. Previously, Dr. Barrie was the Assistant Principal at Carmel Central School District from September 2009 to August 2021 and held similar roles at Van Wyck Junior High School and Wappingers Central School District. Early in the educational career, Dr. Barrie contributed as a Social Studies Teacher at John Jay Senior High School and Hyde Park Central School District. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Education Administration from SUNY New Paltz, and a Master of Education in Educational Psychology from Marist University. Dr. Barrie completed undergraduate studies at St. Bonaventure University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government and Education.
