Adam Lape has an extensive work experience history. Adam started their career in 2000 at All Seasons Sports Center, where they worked as a Prep and Delivery staff member until 2003. In 2005, they joined the Ohio Department of Transportation as a Highway Technician 3 and later became a Transportation Manager until 2014. Since 2014, Adam Lape has been working at the Washtenaw County Road Commission, where they initially served as the Superintendent of Maintenance. In 2022, they were promoted to the role of Director of Operations, which they currently hold.

Adam Lape pursued their education in the field of Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Adam began their studies at Defiance College from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Afterward, they continued their educational journey at the University of Phoenix from 2010 to 2011, obtaining another Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in the same field of study.

The Washtenaw County Road Commission is responsible for maintaining a road system that is reasonably safe and convenient to the traveling public. The agency is governed by a five-member Board of County Road Commissioners. Duties of the agency include winter maintenance, road and bridge construction, road repair & maintenance, signal and sign maintenance and ditch & drainage maintenance.
