Evan Maehl is a seasoned professional in financial management and leadership, currently serving as a Steering Group Member for the Business Leaders' Health and Safety Forum since September 2022, focusing on enhancing workplace health and safety across New Zealand. With extensive experience in the waste management sector, Evan has been the Managing Director at WM New Zealand since November 2012, leading initiatives in resource recovery and sustainable waste management. Prior to this, Evan held significant financial roles, including Chief Financial Officer at Villa Maria Estate and Pernod Ricard Winemakers, as well as various finance management positions at notable companies such as Montana Wines Ltd and Corbans Wines. Evan's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and Operations Management, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Treasury Management, all from esteemed universities in New Zealand.
