Tirth Chakraborty

Tirth Chakraborty is a highly experienced civil and environmental engineer with expertise in landfill management and associated infrastructure. Currently serving as Principal Engineer and Category Manager at WM since 2016, Tirth has played a pivotal role in design, cost estimation, and construction management for Indiana landfills. Prior to this, Tirth held positions at AMEC from 2010 to 2015 as a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer, overseeing large-scale projects ranging from $10M to $100M across North America, and at WorleyParsons as a Project Engineer, managing various civil infrastructure projects. Tirth’s earlier experience includes consultancy at EBA Engineering Consultants and a research assistant role at the University of Calgary, specializing in energy recovery from landfills. Tirth holds a Master's in Environmental Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor's degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
